Food producers across Carlow are being invited to enter the Irish Food Awards 2015.
The prestigious awards take place on the first weekend of October in Dingle, County Kerry.
Dubbed the ‘Oscars of Irish Food’, this year’s competition will see more than 2,000 Irish products blind-tasted and scored by over 350 judges.
This year, Carlow Local Enterprise Office have got on board and are sponsoring the Best in County and Best in Farmers’ Market awards.
They’re now encouraging as many Carlow food producers as possible to get involved.
Organisers say the competition is about recognising passionate, dedicated producers who are serious about marketing their produce at home and abroad.
The closing date for entries is just weeks away now, on Wednesday the 17th of June.
