A local TD is critising telecommunications company, UPC, for their decision to axe the post-office payment option.
The 23rd of June, has been earmarked as the day when UPC customers will have to avail of other methods of paying their TV, telephone and broadband bills.
However, Fine Gael TD, John Paul Phelan says this won’t suit many older people in rural areas who are now afraid they may start to incur late payment charges.
