Second group of Chernobyl children arrive in Kilkenny today

The second group of children from Chernobyl are due in Kilkenny later this evening.

Yesterday the Chernobyl Kilkenny Outreach Group welcomed 31 children and 2 adults who will be staying with local families for the next four weeks.

11 more children from Vesnova orphanage will be arriving into Dublin Airport at 5 o’clock this evening.

This year marks the 20th year that local man, Jim Kavanagh has been involved with the Kilkenny branch of the Chernobyl Outreach Group and he told KCLR News that he still loves it.
