2 women appointed to CEO roles at Kilkenny & Carlow county councils

Carlow and Kilkenny county councils are each getting new CEO’s.

And for the first time ever both are women.

Former Offaly county manager Collette Byrne is expected to be ratified as the new head of Kilkenny local authorities when councillors meet this afternoon.

While Carlow county council is also getting a new chief executive.

Cathaoirleach Charlie Murphy says members are likely to approve the appointment of Kathleen Holohan, who is coming from Dun Laoghire Rathdown, next month.
