Last chance for locals to have a say on future of Inistioge Post Office

It’s the last chance today for people in Inistioge to try and save their post office.

An Post issued a notice recently informing locals that the future of the service is under consideration.

Todays the deadline for submissions but they have to be made in writing to the Retail operations manager in Portlaoise by this evening.

An Post says they will consider any views and then make a decision taking account of Network coverage needs, the level of business in Inistioge, travel distances to other services and the capacity of neighbouring offices to handle additional business if the post office closes.
