Annita & Team Ireland due back from Special Olympics in LA this morning

Carlow woman Annita O’ Connor and Team Ireland will arrive home to a heroes welcome at Dublin airport this morning.

The athletes taking part in the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Los Angeles secured an impressive tally of 82 medals.

Annita herself finished in 5th place in the bowling singles and doubles while there was a 6th place finish for the team event.

All 88 of the sports stars and their families will arrive back in Ireland later this morning (9.40am).
