Over 100 swimmers are expected to gather on the banks of the river in Kilkenny City this morning.
The annual Nore Swim is taking place to raise funds this year for the Carlow/Kilkenny Homecare Team.

Anybody over the age of 13 can take part in event which kicks off at 11am.
And speaking to KCLR News, Chairman of the Nore Swim, Michael Power said there were a number of different categories for people to enter.
