The who’s who of local and national sporting celebrities will be picking up their hurls and helmets this evening for a very special match.
Hurling for Cancer Research has been organised by Carlow horse trainer, Jim Bolger and takes place at 6.30 this evening in St Conleth’s Park, Kildare.

Some of the famous faces taking part include Brian Cody, JJ Delaney, champion jockey Katie Walsh and soccer legend Niall Quinn.
Speaking to KCLR, Jim Bolger says the fitness of the two teams isn’t really a concern.
