Tributes are being paid to a local Motor Neuron Disease campaigner who has lost his battle with the illness.
Mark Attride from Killeshin was a lecturer in IT Carlow and was heavily involved in the local sports scene.
He was diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease in February of 2014 and a major fundraiser organised last year raised in the region of 50 thousand euro for the Irish Motor Neuron Disease Association.
Mark’s friend, Paul Brennan told KCLR News that he was a fantastic community man.
