Blow for Carlow as Supervalu to close with the loss of 52 jobs

52 jobs are to go with the closure of SuperValu in Carlow shopping centre on Kennedy Avenue.

The anchor tenant there will close their doors on the 22nd of January 2016 however its remaining shops in the town will remain open.

Clonmels store will also shut its doors with the loss of 44 jobs.

Musgrave’s says it’s taken the decision to shut down both outlets – due to market issues with the shops.
