Carlow IFA Chairman to decide on running for President when election date is called

More than 200 farmers turned out to a meeting in Carlow last night to discuss the latest controversies within IFA.

Local members agreed they do want the Association to continue into the future but they also want to hear everything thats going on within it.

Chairman of the local branch is Derek Deane who has previously indicated he might be a contender for the vacant role of President.

He told KCLR today he is still considering his options but wont decide until the date for the election is called.
