JD and And The Straight Show do exactly what they say…a clear, straight shot of rootsy music with attitude and subtlety. They’re finding their music is becoming more acoustic in nature and there’s a depth and richness there that’s hard to resist. They play two gigs at Kilkenny Roots 2016 and listeners are in for a treat.
Fronted by Jim Dolan, musically they have a fine pedigree: Marc Copely (Rosanne Cash, McCrary Sisters), guitarist Aidan Dolan; Kentucky-born bassist Byron House (Robert Plant, Emmylou Harris) and violinist Erin Slaver (Rod Stewart, Trace Adkins, Martina McBride).
