Lewis & Leigh, AKA Al Lewis from Wales and Alva Leigh from Mississippi are due to release their debut album ‘Ghost’ on August 26th 2016. This is the result of a collaboration that began in 2014 when the two solo musicians first began writing together. Recorded in January 2016 at Urchin Studios in London with Matt Ingram, ‘Ghost’ celebrates the differences in their individual experiences whilst finding common ground. Their EPs have brought them to an appreciative audience and their close harmony style and lyrical concerns have enthralled all who have seen their stunning live shows.
They played at the 2016 Roots Festival and dropped in to Studio 2 at KCLR to chat with me and talk about their songs, three of which they played live for us in session.
