Locals urged to be “extra vigilant” when buying cars & trailers off the internet

Locals are being warned to be extra vigilant when buying items such as cars and trailers off the internet.

The call comes for Local Gardaí, after the theft of a Trailer in Borris last week.

The incident happened in Kilcoltrim last Friday – when an 8×5 IFOR Williams trailer with an Aluminium and timber floor was taken.

Gardaí are calling on locals to make sure they conduct proper checks of such items before buying them online or from a private seller.

Speaking to KCLR , Sgt Peter McConnon is urging locals to be extra careful when it comes to buying these types of items.
