A group of “inspirational” young people were honoured at the National Garda Youth Awards yesterday afternoon.
The awards are presented to young people aged between 13 and 21 who make their community a better place to live or have shown determination in their own lives.
St. Leo’s College was the winner for the Carlow/Kilkenny division in the community safety section.
The Young Social Innovators at the secondary school created the Phoneless Phobia campaign to
encourage their peers to disconnect from their phones and reconnect with real-life
experiences.
