A child has been taken to hospital after being struck by a car in County Kildare.
The incident occurred on Leinster Street in Athy at around 10:30 PM last night.

The young boy was transported to Children’s Health Ireland Hospital in Crumlin for treatment of his injuries.
Gardaí are conducting a technical examination of the scene, and the road remains closed as part of their investigation.
