Ann Phelan says she’ll make a decision on her political future if and when an election is called.
The former Labour Junior Minister was speaking to KCLR in her new role as Community Water Conservation Officer ahead of a series of public meetings on protecting our water sources around Kilkenny.
The first one takes place in the Newpark Hotel this evening.
She lost her seat in the last election, and addressing recent suggestions by her former party leader Joan Burton that the door’s open for her to return, she said she’s happy as she is.
Ann Phelan told The Way it is that her new job is her focus at the moment and she doesn’t see herself having to make a definite decision about running again anytime soon.
