Two men have been arrested in relation to the theft and damage of life-buoys in Kilkenny.
Over the past number of weeks, KCLR has reported how the life-saving equipment has been repeatedly damaged and in some cases set on fire along the River Nore.

The most recent incident occurred on Thursday night into Friday morning.
Kilkenny Gardaí say they have now taken two men into custody in relation to this activity.
They are both in their 20s and were arrested shortly after 2 o’clock this morning.
They’re being held in Kilkenny Garda Station and investigations are ongoing with Gardaí looking for anyone with any information to come forward.
