A Kilkenny animation studio is being tipped for a third Oscar nomination in 2018.
Cartoon Saloons latest offering ‘The Breadwinner’ collected the Los Angeles Film Critics Association prize for Best Animation at the weekend.

It’s the latest accolade for the Nora Twomey directed feature which saw Angelina Jolie come on board as an executive producer.
This award is being viewed as a serious indicator that the local animators could be heading down the red carpet at the Academy Awards next year.
