Body of 22 year old man recovered from River Nore

Locals who co-ordinated the search for a young Thomastown man along the River Nore have thanked all who helped in the efforts.

The body of 22 year old Jamie Denieffe was recovered from the water yesterday afternoon after a week of intensive searching.

The Defence forces, Kilkenny Sub aqua, Kilkenny civil defence, the coastguard helicopter and Gardai all assisted local volunteers in the search efforts throughout the past week.
