A Day of Prayer for Victims and Survivors of abuse is being marked in parishes locally and around the country today.
It’s an annual day of atonement organised by the Catholic Church which will see candle lighting ceremonies taking place in the countries cathedrals.
In Carlow, Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin Denis Nulty says it’s a day for everyone to reflect on the atrocity of abuse.
And he’s told KCLR it’s meant to be a very inclusive day.
