Carlow’s Saoirse Ronan is to host iconic US sketch show Saturday Night Live next month.
The 23 year old actress from Ardattin and 2 time Academy Award nominee will be at the helm for the programme that will air on December 2nd and will also feature U2 as musical guests.

Saturday Night Live is famed for its sketches of well-known politicians and celebrities.
Some of the biggest names have also hosted the show including the likes of Candice Bergen, Tom Hanks, Cameron Diaz and Alec Baldwin.
