IT Carlow wants to expand its sporting facilities
The local institute has submitted plans to develop a 30 acre South Sports campus which would see new playing fields for GAA, soccer and rugby as well as a brand new running track.
Meanwhile some of the big names in the world of Performance Analysis are in IT Carlow this week for a high profile International workshop.
Karen Hennessy is Head of the Department of Sport, Media & Marketing at the local institute and told KCLR news its a pretty big deal.
She says the college is essentially leading the way in Performance Analysis at the moment offering the first Masters programme with a range of experts contributing to it.
