A fantastic opportunity for people to turn back to the river that they left 100 years ago.
That’s how one Carlow man is viewing Waterways Ireland’s plans to develop the Barrow towpath.
Frank Lanigan, a former solicitor had a letter published in the Carlow Nationalist this week about the proposal which has been the subject of some debate with locals divided on whether it’s a positive or negative move.
A planning application has now been submitted and a series of public information evenings are planned for next week in Graiguenamanagh, Carlow, Laois & Kildare.
Speaking to KCLR Live earlier Frank said people who are concerned should give this project a chance.
