Carlow Town made a successful start in defence of their title with a four point win over St. Mullins in the opening game of the J.J. Kavanagh intermediate hurling championship at McGrath Park yesterday evening.
Carlow Town’s Cian Clancy was the scorer of the first point in this year’s championship and Conor Lawler their first goal.
Willie Foley St. Mullins tacked on their first point.
