Cartoon Saloon look to add another festival to busy Kilkenny calender

Kilkenny could soon be host to a new festival of animation.

Cartoon Saloon have announced they’re conducting a feasibility study at the moment to see if it’s something that could be a runner.

They’re looking for people to fill out a questionnaire on their website to gauge the interest levels for such a festival.

Director of their upcoming film, The Breadwinner, Nora Twomey told KCLR’s The Way It Is they’re looking to hold it in February.

She said it would be great to celebrate animation and illustration given how many artists are in Kilkenny.
