The Kilkenny Sinn Fein deputy was speaking following the publication of Fianna Fail’s Au Pair Placement Bill for 2016.
Kathleen is spokesperson on Childcare for Sinn Fein, and she told KCLR that the reason there are so many au pairs in this country is because of the huge cost of childcare for families.
Speaking to KCLR, deputy Funchion says lowering the cost of childcare is the only option.
