It’s clean up day for organisers of the Electric Picnic in Co Laois.
Remaining attendees at the Stradbally site are being urged to leave the area as they found it and bring home their belongings.
70,000 popped by the three-day festival where headliners included Niall Horan, Fred Again and The Killers. While also on the bill were Carlow based Jerry Fish who ran the Fish Town section and Kilkenny talents The Kilo 1077, se7en inch collective, Robert Grace and The Donnys among others.
The operation to tidy up the grounds is the focus for today and Melvin Benn from Festival Republic is asking those leaving today to bring their tents with them, saying “But ultimately it’s the Picnic goers that leave things and not me we really do everything we can to encourage it and continue to do it but we will pick up a lot of rubbish and we will recycle almost all of it”.
