Community pharmacies in Carlow and Kilkenny will start administering Covid-19 vaccines from tomorrow

Over 1,300 community pharmacists will start administering Covid-19 vaccines from tomorrow.

They’ll start by giving the Johnson and Johnson shot, while the Pfizer jab will also be used later in the programme.

The vaccine portal is also expected to open for those aged 30 to 39 in the coming days.

Darragh O’Loughlin from the Irish Pharmacy Union explains how you can get a dose in your pharmacy: If you’re over 50 and you’ve not been vaccinated you can go to your pharmacy and avail of the single shot Johnson and Johnson jab. In a few weeks we will be using the Pfizer jab too.
