County Council to explore the option of developing a 50m swimming pool in Carlow town

Carlow County Council’s to look into the possibility of the provision of a new 50meter swimming pool.

Fine Gael’s Fergal Browne tabled a motion at the monthly meeting calling on the local authority to explore the option of developing one for Carlow Town in partnership with other stakeholders in a bid to meet what he described as the huge need in the region.

The motion passed but his party and council colleague Cllr Paul Doogue has some reservations;
