County Kilkenny homeowner watching TV when man broke into house

Gardaí are looking to track down at least one man who broke into a county Kilkenny home last night.

Just before 9pm he’d gained entry through a rear window of the premises at the Merino estate in Stoneyford ransacked a room.

There were some people in the area at the time that Gardaí would like to rule out of their investigation and Sgt PJ Griffin says the homeowner was watching TV before confronting the intruder;
