A court date’s due for a motorist who was picked up by Gardaí in Kilkenny.
It’s after the Roads Policing Unit intercepted a VW Golf on the Hebron Road on Saturday night.

The driver is understood to have just bought the car but it was seized after he was found to be on a Learner permit with no insurance. He then also tested positive for cocaine and cannabis on an oral fluid test.
On his arrest it was discovered he was wanted on a bench warrent for similar offences.
