Covid-19 latest: 398 new cases confirmed with 23 ICU patients the lowest figure in 2021

398 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the Republic.

But the number of patients being treated for the virus in critical care has dropped to the lowest figure so far this year at 23.

A total of 70 patients are in hospital with the virus.

As of Tuesday, the country’s 14-day incidence rate was 113 per 100,000 people – with Limerick by far the highest at 442.
