Kilkenny and Carlow County Councils have arrived in New York this week as part of the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.
The Tánaiste Simon Harris, speaking yesterday to the KCLR Daily, highlighted the importance of the occasion, calling it a unique diplomatic opportunity for Ireland.
The Carlow delegation will participate in a series of events and meetings later today, including those organised by IDA, Enterprise Ireland, and the Bank of Ireland New York Business Hub.
These gatherings aim to strengthen ties between Ireland and the US, focusing on business, investment, and cultural exchange.
The St. Patrick’s weekend marks a special time for Irish communities worldwide, with New York set to host grand parades and celebrations, offering an ideal platform for Irish officials to further their economic and cultural ties.
