Carlow man Derek Ryan crowned ‘Songwriter of the year’ at inaugural Country Music Awards

There was success for Country Music Star Derek Ryan last night.

The Garryhill man was named as songwriter of the year at the inaugural RTE Irish Country Music Awards.

The former D-side member, turned country music singer was awarded the title at the ceremony last night.
