Popular publican, hotelier, former band manager and Freeman of Kilkenny city Eamonn Langton will be laid to rest locally later today.
He died in the early hours of Wednesday morning, peacefully at home, sparking tributes and a mention in the Dáil with all thinking of those he loved most; wife Trish, their three children Eddie, Conor & Tracey, eight grandchildren and extended family.
He’s being hailed for helping to put Kilkenny on the world map and for helping many other businesses, groups and individuals in a variety of ways behind the scenes.
Requiem Mass takes place at 12noon in St John’s Church, just doors up from the premises he expanded over five decades and where he had a constant presence.
Eamonn will be laid to rest at Foulkstown Cemetery.
