baby cribEmily was the most popular baby girl name in Carlow last year, while Katie was the most popular in Kilkenny.

The statistics compiled by the CSO, also show that James was the most popular baby boy name in Kilkenny in 2014.

Noah, Sean or Jack were chosen most often for boys in Carlow.

Nationally, Jack and Emily were the most popular baby names.
