David Letterman Calls It A Day

David Letterman has ended his 33-year career as a late-night television host in the US with a final “thank you and good night”.

His last “Late Show” featured video messages from Barack Obama and three former Presidents.

Ten stars from Steve Martin to Tina Fey delivered a Top 10 list of “things I’ve always wanted to say to Dave” – with Bill Murray joking “I’ll never have the money I owe you.”

Letterman thanked virtually everyone involved with the show, with many in the audience in tears.

Depp Departs Pirates?

A publicist for the latest “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie has denied reports that Johnny Depp stormed off the Australian set to be with his wife in the United States.

The superstar actor has been shooting scenes as Captain Jack Sparrow on the Gold Coast in Queensland.

A spokesman for the production insists – “Mr Depp has been filming on schedule.

It’s business as usual.”

Clarkson Admits Fault

Jeremy Clarkson says his sacking from the BBC was his own “silly” fault.

He’s given his first interview since the corporation dumped the ex-Top Gear presenter for attacking one of his producers.

Clarkson told the Chris Evans’s breakfast show on Radio 2 that the he has “absolutely no idea” what his future holds.

Rolling Stones

The Rolling Stones played a surprise last minute show at a small Hollywood venue last night.

The rock band used the gig at the 1,200 seat Fonda Theater as a warm up for their 15-city tour that begins this weekend in San Diego.

They reportedly played every song from their classic 1971 album “Sticky Fingers” – which is being re-released.

Mad Men

Jon Hamm says he can’t wait for viewers to see the final episode of Mad Men.

It comes to a close tonight after seven seasons and countless awards.

The star who play’s advertising exec Don Draper says he hasn’t been able to tell anyone what happens and wants people to see it so he can finally talk about how the series ends.

Sheridan Smith picks up OBE

Actress Sheridan Smith’s collected her OBE at Buckingham Palace.

Prince William presented the ‘Gavin and Stacey’ and ‘Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps’ star with the award – for services to drama.

She described the ceremony as a ‘bit of a blur’.

Bextor Expecting Fourth Child

Singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor is pregnant with her fourth child.

She confirmed the news on Twitter.

She and her husband – Richard Jones, who’s a bassist with The Feeling – already have three boys.
