TV show Never Mind The Buzzcocks has been axed after almost two decades.

The music quiz has been hosted by Rhod Gilbert, Simon Amstell and Mark Lamarr and regularly featured Phill Jupitus, Sean Hughes and Noel Fielding as team captains.

Memorable moments include Preston from the Ordinary Boys storming off when he was read extracts from his then-wife Chantelle Houghton’s autobiography.

Britain’s Got Talent

Britain’s Got Talent finalists Entity Allstars say former winner and fellow dancer Ashley Banjo is a massive fan of theirs.

He was in the Diversity dance group which won the third series in 2009, and is said to love their shows.

Entity Allstars – made up of 20 dancers aged between 11 and 16 – have secured a place in Sunday night’s final.

Niall Horan linked to X-Factor, again

One Direction’s Niall Horan is the latest to be linked with filling a judges spot on The X Factor.

Some bookmakers in Ireland have suspended betting on the singer joining the show – after punts were made on him leaving the group and becoming a member of the panel.

Robbie Williams is another name being tipped to replace Louis Walsh.

Michael Gambon

Michael Gambon’s been cast as Winston Churchill in a new one-off drama about his final years in office.

The ITV programme – called ‘Churchill’s Secret’ – will focus on the summer of 1953, when the then-peacetime British Prime Minister had a stroke which was kept secret from the public.

Lindsay Duncan will play his wife Clementine.

The show’s being filmed at Churchill’s country home Chartwell in Kent.

Hozier ready for next album?

Hozier says he’s itching to start work on some new material.

The singer is keen to put pen to paper and follow up on the success of his prize winning song ‘Take Me To Church’.

The track was recently named top rock song at the Billboard Music Awards and won best song musically and lyrically at the Ivor Novello’s last week.

Zayn Malik Wedding Still On?

Perrie Edwards from Little Mix says she’s still planning her wedding to Zayn Malik – but for now she’s busy promoting the band’s new single.

Zayn quit One Direction in March and Perrie says he’s a great chef and is spending a lot of time in the kitchen.

She’s told The Sun they want their big day to be perfect, but doubts it will be this summer.

Let’s stop the Oasis rumour

Hopes of Oasis ever getting back together have again been dashed by Noel Gallagher.

He’s told the Daily Mirror that he’ll never forgive Liam for walking out on the band during a series of live shows six years ago.

Liam’s cryptic tweets last year led to a bookmaker suspending betting on the band playing at Glastonbury.

Noel’s latest comments seem to suggest that’s unlikely to happen this year.
