Here’s a look at some of the entertainment headlines doing the rounds on The Frequency tonight. Get these stories and more, and three chances to win a pair of tickets each hour 7-10pm to the Sky Cat Laughs Comedy Festival’s 21st birthday party in Kilkenny on 28 May.

New Single For Little Mix Leaked

Little Mix’s new single has been leaked online – almost a week before it was meant to be released.

It’s the third leak for ‘Black Magic’ – the name of the track and the artwork have also appeared online ahead of schedule.

Early reviews of the band’s first single in a year have been positive.

Catherine Tate Back On TV

Catherine Tate’s “Nan” is returning to screens.

The potty mouthed OAP is coming back for 2 half hour episodes – which will be shot later in the year – and on screen in 2016.

According to people who have seen the scripts, they are as ‘close to comic perfection as you can get’. I did enjoy her in the final season or two of the US Office, only got through that recently.

New Book For Barbra Streisand

Barbra Streisand has finally signed up to a long-promised memoir.

The book – due out in 2017 – will see the singer reflect on her childhood, career and closely guarded private life.

Streisand is one of the few entertainers to have won a Grammy, Oscar, Tony and Emmy Award throughout her career.

Michael Caine in Cannes

Michael Caine has appeared at Cannes – half a century after he last visited the film festival.

The veteran star is promoting his new film ‘Youth’ – which is all about the passing of time with Caine playing a retired maestro conductor.

It also stars Hollywood veteran Jane Fonda.

Cerys Matthews turning to theatre

Former Catatonia singer Cerys Matthews is composing the score for a play at the UK National Theatre.

She’ll write the music for ‘Our Country’s Good by Timberlake Wertenbaker’, which is due to open in the summer.

Goldfrapp and Damon Albarn are among the other pop stars who’ve written for the stage.

More additions to Endeavour

Skins star Dakota Blue Richards is joining the cast of Endeavour as a new sidekick for the detective.

The 21-year-old actress will star alongside Shaun Evans – who plays Endeavour Morse – as Constable Shirley Trewlove in the third series.

The Inspector Morse prequel, set in the 1960s, will return for 4 two-hour episodes later this year.

Kanye Censored?

Kanye West is blaming a poor response to his latest big performance on the show’s organisers.

The rapper says he was “grossly over-censored” at Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas.

His publicist insists his voice and performance were seriously misrepresented because inoffensive lyrics were muted for over 30-seconds.

David Letterman Bows Out Tonight

U.S. chat show host David Letterman has interviewed his final official guest, before stepping down.

Actor Bill Murray jumped out of a giant cake in his last appearance on the show.

Letterman’s last programme tonight – expected to be a look back at some of his highlights – will bring an end to a TV career that’s lasted for more than 3 decades.

It’s Cheryl v Louis

X Factor judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has hit back at criticism from former fellow panellist Louis Walsh.

I am beginning to wonder if Louis has some kind of an obsession with me.. 👀

— Cheryl (@CherylOfficial) May 19, 2015

The singer’s taken to Twitter to suggest Louis may have an obsession with her, after he complained to a magazine about her performance last series.

Dear Lou Lou. Try using your mouth to say something positive abt something positive 🙏🏼

— Cheryl (@CherylOfficial) May 19, 2015

This year’s judges haven’t yet been confirmed – although 62-year-old Louis is not taking part.
