Entry point for St Luke’s General Hospital for Carlow and Kilkenny changes today

Access to the Emergency Department and Paediatric Department will not be impacted

A change to how you enter St Luke’s General Hospital for Carlow and Kilkenny takes effect today.

The main north entrance will be closed to accommodate building works which are a continuation of the Ormond Wing.

The works are expected to last for about four months and will see the installation of a pavillion with reception area and security facilities.

When completed, it’ll create the new main entry point for the hospital.

It means all set-down traffic will be directed through the administration car park one-way system with limited set down and wheelchair parking available there.

There’ll be signage and security on hand to direct you but be warned: parking in restricted areas may result in the clamping of cars.

Access to the Emergency Department and Paediatric Department will not be impacted.
