An extension has been granted to the planning application for the development of the Penneys site in Carlow.
Initially the site was meant to be developed in 2012 but was delayed and it had been hoped it would be open by the end of 2014.
We reported in October 2015 that work was to begin before the year was out – but that was delayed again.
KCLR news can confirm this afternoon that an extension has been granted to the planning application – however it’s not yet known when the construction will begin.
