Extra care needed as icy conditions reported on roads across Carlow and Kilkenny

Icy conditions are being reported across Carlow and Kilkenny once again this morning.

The main roads in Kilkenny were gritted twice last night by council staff, while the main routes in Carlow were also treated.

However, it’s not likely to get much warmer today and the weather warning for ice and frost is still in place until tomorrow.

Local roads won’t have been treated so you’re being urged to allow extra time for all journeys.
