Mount Leinster Rangers dream season didn’t have the fairytale ending they would have hoped for but they were welcomed home to Carlow and Borris last night.
The County & Leinster champions made history yesterday as they became the first side from the county to step out onto Croke Park for an All Ireland senior club hurling final.
The result was a disappointing one for the Carlow side as they failed to make the impact they would have liked and Portumna took the title.
But with or without the cup the Rangers men were welcomed home in style last night.
David Phelan who captained the side thanked all their supporters as they landed back in Borris
