Just two candidates from Fianna Fail in Kilkenny have been nomniated to go forward for selection for the general election.
Nominations closed at 5pm on Wednesday evening.

The nominees are sitting Carlow-Kilkenny TD John McGuinness and Thomastown Fianna Fail councillor Peter “Chap” Cleere.
Ratification will take place at a convention, to be held in the next two weeks.
