Fianna Fail leader visits to help drum up support for Bobby Aylward ahead of by-election

The Fianna Fail leader says it wouldn’t make electoral sense to run a second candidate in the by-election.

Michéal Martin is in Kilkenny today to help drum up support for Bobby Aylward ahead of Mays vote.

There’s been some criticism over the partys failure to select a Carlow candidate – Councillor Jennifer Murnane O Connor had put her name forward.

But Michéal Martin says they couldnt run a second candidate.
