Fintan Phelan has been elected Cathaoirleach of Carlow County Council.
Cllr Phelan replaces Fine Gael’s Tom O’Neill in the role.

He was nominated by Fianna Fail party colleague Andrea Dalton and seconded by Arthur McDonald.
Councillors in Carlow were meeting in person at Visual for the first time this year due to the pandemic.
