The first Carlow Mayor’s awards will take place this Friday in Carlow Town Hall, at 7pm.
The awards honour significant achievements, dedication and hard work of many Carlow people in their community.

Carlow Mayor Fintan Phelan told KCLR news he feels its “important that the council recognise the significant achievements of Carlovians and also the huge amount of voluntary work that is undertaken by organisations and indiviuals in the community”.
The focus will be on Theatrical, arts, debating achievements, St Patricks day parade awards and volunteerism.
