It’s always a pleasure to welcome Declan Sinnott and Vickie Keating to Studio 2. They came to play on KCLR Live to publicise their upcoming gig at Cleere’s as part of Kilkenny TradFest 2017 but took the time so drop in to say hello and play. As usual we spent more time off mic chatting than on but there’s plenty to hear here.

Declan is as busy as ever as an MD and guitar player par excellence. Vickie has been working away on her own material in recent times (with Declan on production duties and as a member of the band) so that will be worth waiting for. Declan himself is as busy as ever, working on material for his own solo album and he promises something different this time. Exciting times!

As ever it’s a joy to be in Studio 2 to hear Declan play, his legendary taste and delicacy never fails to catch you off guard. With Vickie on vocals they make a fine live act so it’s great to see them coming to play again. Do not miss them. We hear two songs in Studio and they will form part of the gig on Saturday 18th.
