John Murry has been a welcome visitor to Kilkenny for some time and his gigs are legendary. He’s been working and recording in Ireland so it’s been great to see him for longer than a fleeting moment afterwards…
I’ve enjoyed many conversations with him in cars, in record stores, in bars and restaurants or just out in the fresh air. He produced one of the finest albums in recent years called “The Graceless Age” and he writes from the heart. His songs often speak to the depths of the human experience and his song’s honesties are often cathartic but never less than truthful.
We discussed his coming in for some time so it was great to get him in, to switch on the mic and to let the songs and the songwriter talk…
